Potty Training

I have started potty training my son today and it’s going ok so far, but I’m very stuck on what to do late in the week when he will go to nursery. He won’t be going until Wednesday but I’m not sure how to navigate the whole ‘outside’ part. We have to get public transport to nursery and will take around 45-1hr to get there. If potty training does go succesfully, do I put him in a nappy for the journey or stick with pants? I need to get a travel potty but not sure how to use this as I don’t feel entirely comfortable getting him to pull his trousers down in a public space where there’s not really anywhere discreet. How are others doing it?

We’ve fully potty trained our daughter and for journeys longer than 30 minutes we put her in a pull up just in case. She uses the potty just before leaving and we take her to the toilet when we get to our destination where she will have her knickers put back on, most of the time she doesn’t need to use the pull up as she can now go up to 3 hours before she will need to use the potty. What my sister used to do when travelling with her son when he was being potty trained was to carry an empty bottle around with her, this way he will not need his trousers pulled down and he can discreetly have a pee (with help)

@Jade thank you!x

We potty trained in Dec and only put a nappy on for bedtime. Bambino mio do potty training pants, we’d use these for a longer trip on car / bus as it buys a little time - but it’s not a nappy. If they’ve just been to the toilet 30-45 min should be fine xx
