Milk production

Ok so how are you guys drying up your breast milk? I know it helps to stop nursing and pumping but is it painful for anyone? And if it is what do you do to help with the pain?

I haven’t pumped in about 7 months and mine just kind of naturally slowed production and has slowly dried up. I still have some dribbles if I really force it but for me it was pretty easy and painless. I just lessened the amount of times I pumped especially as I wasn’t producing as much. It was weird but cool how my body knew what to do at the right time.

Cold compresses have been my blessing, also draining the accumulated milk with a pump (just enough to clear the breasts, so you avoid mastitis). Pump infrequently and space out, I promise that this will make it less painful and in a few days you will see the results. I have already been through EVERYTHING with this stage of breastfeeding 🥹 Sorry if my writing is confusing, English is not my first language 🥹
