I potentially will need one of these as my baby is breeched (I am currently 36+6). Basic question: does it hurt? How long did they take? Apparently you have an IV drip? What’s the effects like of that?

@Emmeline hey no I have an injection an it took 30 mins to take affects. It was painful but nowhere near as bad as people had made out it to be..I was given gas and air and within 2 hours I was fine in comparison I guess to in loads of pain for weeks after a c section l. I was monitored for 30 minutes before to check babies heart rate.. injection goes in 30 mins to kick in. Surgeon comes in within 5 mins he had spun baby. 30 mins on monitoring after. Chance of emergency section is 1%
