I would definitely like to know why you are getting induced? Is it an emergency? Because it's best to let the baby come on its own. They do love to push us to force labor, pretty strange and that's when all the complications happen. I've heard so many mothers are having issues with birth from being induced but just think about it....why are they pushing us all to be induced to force our labor on the baby and the body. Think about what that does to poor baby. It's panic mode for body and baby because the body and baby actually know the perfect time to come, not a due date or the doctors. I do not recommend it but of course it is your choice always. I'd only say yes to it if it was absolutely necessary to have it done.

@Hannah My due date was the 20th . They’ve been saying they won’t let me go past 41 weeks

Just like a regular labor, all my cousins have had inductions, it may take longer and be slightly more painful (bc it's an artificial labor) So just prep like you are going to the hospital on labor and ask for the epidural early (if you are doing that!)

I went like a week or maybe two three I can't remember very well but I did go over mine. They asked me to get induced and I declined and had to sign papers that basically stated that I was reliable to anything that happened to the baby. So they scared me but I actually had nothing to be afraid of because this is such a modern day procedure they do to us women that we actually wouldn't even need unless it was absolutely necessary. Many women have said they had so many issues birthing after being induced and they swear it's safe and all that bullcrap just like the vaccinations or saying tylenol is safe all that when so many women have sued the business for giving their babies disabilities. Of course doesn't happen to all so people would still use it. Sorry I am getting off track but back to the topic I I'm just here to inform that's all and my baby is very happy and healthy, he exceeds the kids his age. All the choices we make will effect our babies development. It is forced labor so it will effect u and baby.

I was induced at 38 weeks with pitocin but I know there are other ways to induce as well so I can only tell you my experience. With pitocin the contractions were much closer together and my labor was shorter than expected but i think that’s because my body started taking over after the first few hours anyway. I ended up going without an epidural which was difficult with the pitocin but having a fantastic support system made it all possible!💪🏻 Don’t be afraid to ask them to dial back the pitocin if your contractions become too strong too quickly. I also did the gas to help me breathe through the contractions but that really only helps the pain at the beginning and just gives you something else to focus on when you get to the more intense contractions. My labor ended up being 12 hours (almost exactly) then they kept me hooked up till the pitocin was done. I was told it’s very common for labor to last longer than that on pitocin though.

Your baby knows when it is absolutely ready to come out of you and if you are worried then you can always check to see if everything is okay with your baby and if so I wouldn't be worried. If you feel more comfortable following what the doctors said which is common I do not blame you people do put the trust in them mostly. I'm just here to inform and you do with it what you wish of course.

@Hannah okay but you are now comparing vaccinations and taking Tylenol to an induction??? I can understand not wanting an induction but I’ve had one and many people I know have as well and all their babies turned out completely fine. Not to mention vaccines save lives and Tylenol has been proven to be safe in pregnancy so long as it’s taken appropriately.

@Akila my induction experience happened in January & I’m nearly 6 weeks PP. My induction was a dream experience and I’d 100 percent do it that way again. Doctors suggested I do the induction at 39 weeks due to being advanced maternal age at time of birth & he was measuring on the larger side. I also have health anxiety so I was thrilled to know for sure when baby was going to come and what to expect from the induction process. I went in on a Monday night at 9pm and baby boy was in my arms the next day by 3:15pm. Everyone’s body will respond differently to the meds and mine responded really well I think. My biggest piece of advice: if you’re getting the epidural do so early, I got mine at 3cm, went to sleep, and woke up 9cm. If I had waited I may not have been able to get it. I’d also read beforehand that getting the epidural helps with the contractions a lot since the meds can make them more intense than natural labor. You got this! Congrats on baby!

@akila I would also like to add that myself and baby are also very healthy and happy post-induction. I’m also a FTM. Pregnancy and birth are such individual experiences and can differ for everyone. I’d love to hear your birth story after if you ever feel like sharing.

@Allyson thank you !

Honestly if I wasnt induced I probably had a better chance at having an natural birth I was induced at 39 weeks anf after 51 hours in labor I had an emergency c section

@Becca my comparisons were to show her that they say many things are safe, those were just a few basic ones that I listed. Nobody ever does talk about the dark sides of these so called safe procedures, I'm Scorpio so I'm definitely here to talk about the dark and untold truths😆 Everyone talks about the good and what not. My brother became severely autistic as a newborn baby from the vaccines and he passed away eventually around the age of 10. I won't get too deep into it because this does require a lot of talking. Also there are women who have told their stories of being induced and their children becoming severely disabled. There are risks that they don't want to speak of. They do happen but they make money off our pregnancy and labor so they will require much from us to make more money off us. We are just profit to them, nobody ever understands that and I know I'm one of those very few people who can see truth and than everyone else is just brainwashed by a profitable business that makes loads of money off

Expect them to be up in your cooch every few hours 😂 I swear I had like 7 different people stick their hands up there over the course of 3 days

Us. It's too much to really talk about, you believe in the healthcare system and you follow along and I don't we're very different people. It's no point in arguing with you fr. I know plenty of things that have happened to my own family and others as well. So I am just here to inform and speak out. I already know most will follow along with what the profitable business recommends to make more money. They make these procedures up that aren't even necessary for our bodies as women. Forced labor is just so unnatural. I don't know why nobody can even comprehend that. It's so obvious. I'd only say go for it if it's 100% necessary.

@Jayliz definitely gonna hate that 😭

@Hannah there is literally no evidence correlating vaccines to autism so please don’t be spouting that on here. That said I am very sorry for your brother’s passing but if it happened later in life it was not caused by the vaccinations in his infancy. Additionally, you can’t know he was autistic as a newborn as it can’t be properly diagnosed until at least the age of 2. People are refusing vaccines because of misinformation like this and it is why dozens of kids are currently suffering from measles in our country right now including several hospitalizations. I do agree that hospitals do push too much for inductions and push women out of hospitals too early because of profit because of the messed up healthcare system in America but that does not mean that inductions are inherently dangerous. I wish I didn’t need to have one but it ultimately was the safest option because of my hypertension.

Im sorry @Akila I did not mean this post to become so crazy. I just get very upset when people say it’s dangerous to vaccinate your children when it’s quite the opposite. I know you’re nervous for your induction and that’s totally understandable but trust yourself and your body and you can do this! Hannah is right and you are allowed to refuse the induction if you choose but the only thing I can say is trust your body and your doctors. If it helps maybe come up with a birth plan that involves your induction and what your wishes may be in certain scenarios. You can discuss this with your doctor too! Despite everything, it will all be worth it when that precious little baby is in your arms, I promise!

My hospital provided pretty much everything baby related, including a pump, and let me take extra home. If your hospital is like that too, then you pretty much need your baby's coming home outfit, an extra blanket, and the car seat set up in the car. My hospital also provided plenty of pads and a ginormous reusable cup for water and ice. For YOU, I would being a good pillow and blanket and for anyone staying with you. I stayed in the cloth hospital gown the entire induction because they need easy access. For recovery after. I'd bring supportive underwear, comfortable clothes. A small case of your hygiene essentials if you don't want to use the hospitals. Don't have anyone with you that you're not 100% comfortable with. My mom unfortunately saw me in a doggy style position but I'm close with her at least. I wouldn't have wanted my MIL or someone else there.

@Becca it’s totally okay, thank you for the advice !

Mines ended in a c-section because I personally couldn't handle the pain past 5cm. I also just want to say, do not feel any shame in there being changes in what you want to do halfway in. Plenty of people want to go all natural and end up doing meds. Plenty of people have c-sections as well. Plenty of people do it natural. I literally went in with a mantra of "this is what my body is made for." 😂😂😂 to please get him out

SAY NO TO THE CERVICAL BALOON

@Tatyana does it hurt ?

@Akila I wish I had brought my ice pads to the hospital. I got the Frida Mom ones and loved them at home. They would have been great to have on hand in hospital recovery. I also really liked Frida Mom’s foam and witch hazel liners over what my hospital gave me. And I would bring your own towel for your hospital shower. The ones I were given were criminally small 😭😂

DON'T BE AFRAID OR ASHAMED TO ASK FOR THE EPIDURAL. Also, the nurses see this stuff every day. Your first instinct is to be embarrassed cause your stuff is all out, but trust me, they do not care. And by the time my baby was there, I didn't even put away my boobs whenever someone walked in.

@Becca it's way too much to get into with u to give u all the proof. Anyways I could lay it all out for u and you'd still fight it no matter what it would be like me drawing you out a picture you could never see. That's just how y'all operate these days. I can at least try my best to inform. Also back to my brother it was from the vaccines, the vaccines do have chemicals in them and unfortunately for my brother being so young and my mom accepting the shots gave him many seizures afterwards which caused him severe brain damage & he was very autistic to the point he'd have to have somebody take care of him always. He didn't die from the shots he just had severe brain damage from the shots because of those chemicals. Some babies or people cannot protect themselves from those ingredients that they use in those shots. Unfortunately for some people that's the reality of it, not all have that issue from protecting against those chemicals it depends on the person. He passed away 10 years later from a tragic accident.

@Hannah this really isn't the thread to be going off on about this. There is plenty of proof on both sides for and against vaccines. It's up to anyone to do their own research and choose what they agree with.

@Jayliz yes that's why I mentioned to do what you please. I'm going off because I want to help and inform women to make the best choices. I try to make sense of why these procedures aren't actually necessary. To force labor on the baby and body is not good it is literally forcing the baby to come out when it is not ready. The baby comes when it is ready to come. It knows the right time when it is fully done developing in the womb and nobody outside of that knows when baby is supposed to come. That's why all of us women should go back to how things are supposed to be, back to trusting in our bodies and how our bodies and our babies know when to come out they do not need to be forced out. It's artificial labor and it is not good for your body and it's not good for your baby either. I hear women's stories of being in labor for 3 days that's not normal. That happens because your body tries to hold on as long as it can before it gives into the forcing process to produce your baby.

@Hannah ooohh I was going to bite my tongue but I just can’t. You literally came into this thread where someone was asking for people to share their stories of inductions just to say you didn’t have one and telling this person to refuse one too not knowing their medical history or background. Then you tried to tell people, based on your anecdotal evidence, that vaccines are dangerous and cause autism despite the overwhelming scientific evidence that there is no link between the 2 (correlation does not equal causation). And now, once again based on your anecdotes, you’re saying a body will go into labor when it and the baby are ready. Are you saying then that babies that are born premature is because the baby is ready? And there are plenty of labors that last 3 days that don’t involve induction and, while dangerous, it not necessarily “not normal”.

@Akila Some things I brought that I ended up not using at all: my own night gowns and socks. It was just easier to stay in what the hospital gave me. I also brought some very basic skincare but only ended up using my face wash. If you haven’t experienced any significant swelling yet you might after you give birth. I swelled up so much that the shoes I had didn’t fit me, so it might be worth bringing something a few sizes bigger or something super easy to slip on.

@Becca post says give me it all, I'm here giving information just like y'all are too. Your information is not accurate I don't care if it's not backed up by science. You know scientists only share the information that they want to. They do not openly discuss everything they discover just remember I told you that the healthcare business is a trillion dollar business they cover up a lot so that they can continue to make money off of us. It is a money earning business please understand that because of this reason and because they make money off everything they do they cover up and get away with a lot and again science does actually know a lot through their research but like I said if those truths were exposed by scientific evidence "openly of course" than the healthcare business would be losing money hello 👋🏻 science only reveals what it is aloud to reveal to the public, you think they openly discuss all their findings like that are aloud to? Like come on lol the hospitals have people sue them all the time.

Once again it's just something that is not discussed. Why is that, well because it would scare people and make people not want to follow through with their procedures which means they will be making less money due to people declining their protocols. Remember they are an extremely wealthy business and the hospitals do not cure anything they treat. Why do they treat? Because if they have a patient that keeps coming back to be treated for their entire lifetime they have a very profitable patient. Hopefully you can understand that again scientists do know a lot but only discuss what they are aloud to with the public. If it hurts the business it will not be "backed by science" even though in actuality science of course knows the dark truths about everything they discover but cannot come out with it unless allowed to by the businesses. People don't know that so they use it's not backed by science because you think they disclose every detail to the public but no they do not if the business says they can't.

@Akila YES! I couldn’t stop shaking afterwards. It was a different type of pain.

@Becca also sorry but that was not an equal comparison. A premature baby is born because of complications due to an unhealthy pregnancy. That is a whole other topic. If you make it to your due date you have most likely had a healthy pregnancy for the most part. As long as you and the baby are okay up to this point there is no need for induction unless it is necessary. You don't need to force your body to go into labor sorry that you cannot comprehend that but that's the truth you're just being told by a profitable business that you need to be induced so they can make more money off of you hello 👋🏻 it's not necessary unless it's an emergency to get the baby out, that's the only way I'd see that it's okay but to force the baby out when it's not ready is not natural and you are literally forcing your baby to come out when it is not done developing in the womb. It's so simple but you guys are just so brainwashed by the business. That's not my fault I'm here to help but you can't comprehend the true works of

Our bodies as women. It's not natural and that's just the truth. The only need to intervene and force a birth is if it is needed.

And I really never said don't do this and don't do that, I just don't recommend at the end of the day all y'all made your choices and she'll make hers soon too.

If she has medical concerns or something is wrong with her baby where she needs the induction literally go for it, but other than that the best way if you are a healthy mother with a healthy baby the absolute best way is to let baby come out when the baby is ready to come out. Your baby will know when it's time and when the whole developmental process is completely over when you induce you shorten that process. You people are just not knowledgeable on that. Just the truth.

@Hannah lmao okay honey 👍🏻

Girlies please stop this, @Akila your body, your choice, no one else is aware of your health and pregnancy history. Don't take any of this as medical advice. Get informed and just follow your doctor's advice. My biggest advice on birth is to create a birth plan and envision and do mental work (meditate and visualize) to prepare your mind to be open to what's going to come and best for you and baby. Follow your intuition 🩷 and remember they take a long time to do anything so if you ask the epidural now it may happen immediately or it may happen in 3 hours (like it happened to me)

@Manuela yes your body your choice at the end of the day.

I do wish you a beautiful birth 💖

@Hannah thank you!
