We are all over the place with bottles. Now that heās started real food, thatās all he wants. We always hit the minimum of 24 ounces in a 24 hour period but some days heās more hungry than others. Our little one has only ever slept through the night without a middle of the night bottle maybe 2 times everā¦ tired mama. So thereās always a hungry baby at night in this house. But I try and tell myself that heāll eat when heās hungry and not eat if heās not hungry. As long as heās gaining weight on track.
Each day differs on how much my little guy eats. He can eat 2oz bottles when extremely tired just to fall asleep (he is teething so chews on the nipple) and then anywhere from 4oz to sometimes 9oz bottles several times throughout the day. He eats some purƩes, but prefers what mom and dad are eating (so now going baby-led). If mom and dad are eating, baby wants to eat. He does also get snacks in-between meals and has been waking up for 1-2 bottles in the night again (I believe a growth spurt like you said).
We recently changed up our LO bottles from 6, 6oz bottles a day to 5, 8oz bottles. Normally gets yogurt mid morning & starting to do a meal with us in the evening.
My boy nurses 5x a day and gets 2 meals. Although I'm pretty sure most of the solid foods end up on the floor and not in his belly.
