@J.S. Jaees did your newborn not wake your toddler when you guys slept it one room ? I made the mistake of buying her a toddler bed as her room is tiny so when I do lie next to her I can only lie there for 10 minutes as it’s so uncomfortable! I’m Just not sure what to do I’m losing my mind !xx
We definitely started with the toddler bed and it was not comfy lol so that's why I said it's an investment because it has some other features but mainly I knew i would sleep in there 😆 No, they didn't really wake each other. We would put them to bed separately. My newborn was in a bedside bassinet on my side, toddler was in a toddler bed pushed up next to dad's side. This way we started creating distance. At first every single time he fell asleep we'd transfer him to the toddler bed. He'd wake and get in our bed, but mainly stayed there. We have a sound machine all the time playing rain or ocean waves, if someone woke up and started getting loud we'd take them to another room and settle them. But mostly because they were both basically able to co-sleep but in their own space, they slept very well and we never had it happen often
Definitely could be teething and honestly I was the same with my first baby he was 17 months when the new baby came and I didn't want him feeling like the new baby got to sleep with us so we got him a toddler bed and pushed it up next to ours. After he transitioned to his room, we took turns co-sleeping in HIS room not our bed anymore. But we got him a full-sized adult bed with rails so we were able to sleep comfortably in there too. That lasted for maybe a month or so and finally he was fully able to sleep independently. So, I say to give your toddler more time and on nights it's a struggle just save both of you the tears and get some sleep with her
