Great induction and baby is here!

I had a balloon catheter to dilate bc I was only a cm so the plan was to just use that to dilate then at 3cm the next morning be induced with pitocin. My body had other plans and I went into active labor 8 hrs after placement basically… the thing slipped out and I dilated so quickly. They barely got me to a room at 9 cm and 45 min later with 20 min of pushing she was out! Feeling blessed. I also did it with no meds other than fifteeen min of nitrous oxide laughing gas. That was not necesarily a must to go un medicated but they got me to a room so late… so I powered through and there are perks to un medicated my baby was born very alert and i could really push effectively with contractions.

Congrats. She looks adorable!! 🥰

Thanks she’s so cute I love her so much

Your baby is the cutest 😍 I have the balloon catheter scheduled next week. Was it painful? I’m so nervous

@Natalie Gerace hey so I didn’t find the balloon catheter itself to be painful at all! Maybe at most like period cramps! The only reason it was painful was because I was actually going into active labor with it
