Another nap transition question

Seen so many of these recently so feel lots of us are in the same boat. My LO has been on the same schedule for ages: Wake - 6.30 Nap - 9.30 til 10.30/10.45 Nap - 2.15/2.30 til 3.30 Bed - 7/7.15 But the last few weeks we’ve got some normal days mixed with early morning wake ups, fighting naps or taking longer to fall asleep. So I think we’re done with two naps. I keep looking at ‘transition schedules’ and it all just seems abit much. What did everyone do, a gradual transition or a straight swap to one nap?

Straight swap x

I reduced the morning nap until it was just a quick cat nap for 15 mins in the car or buggy and then after a week or so, got rid of it. Worked so well ☺️ good luck!

My little guy is the same! I’ve started some classes for him which are at 10am so there’s a couple days a week we’ve started a one nap day which he seems fine with but he does seem to still want the morning one the following day so we’re doing a bit of a mix atm I don’t think it’ll be long before all days are one nap xx

Straight swap. It coincided with starting nursery, I said to them if he seems tired, put him to sleep earlier, I.e. try to stick to 2 nap schedule. They did listen, but within a couple of days he was happy to stretch the morning WW so went to one nap, and then we just continued this at home. That said, it’s very normal to fluctuate between 1 nap and 2 for a few weeks as you transition, and to see it take a few weeks for change in routine to have an impact on sleep being better

I'm transitioning, some day one, some two but I might be a bit different because naps also have to fit in with my preschoolers schedule, basically some days, even if the nap starts at 11.30, it has to be 30 minutes so I need to do 2.
