Refusing bottle, teething?

My LO (20 weeks on Tuesday) has only been taking about 2/3oz of his bottles. His night time ones he drinks the full bottle but day time is a struggle. When he’s drinking it’s like he’s chewing the teat, rubbing on gums. I’ve tried changing the teat size to a 3 but he couldn’t handle the flow & most of the milk ended up covering him 🤣. In people’s experience, could this be down to teething & sore gums? If so, can you recommend some good teething products. There are so many on the market I’m unsure which one to go with! Thanks x

I’m having the exact same problem and heard it could be teething. We use the ashtons powder, it’s ok and helps when she’s suffering more so but it doesn’t seem to help with the bottles 🤦🏻‍♀️

Mine was doing this for a few weeks but has gone back to taking the bottle, I thought it was teething but now think she was just fussing

Exactly the same here! Takes bed time and through the night fine but alllll day is a struggle 🤯

Reassuring to hear I’m not the only one! It’s maybe all part of the 4 month regression/development phase. My little boy is much more aware & nosey through the day so maybe that’s distracting him from feeding. I’ve been recommended Ambusol but can’t use that until he’s 5 months so I’ll try the Ashtons powders! Thanks ladies! X
