We live in a one bed too, and my friend does as well, with her son & partner. She's turning the living room into their room as well as a living room, and their room will be their son's room, he's about 2/3 years old. We have an almost 8 month old, and she's in the living room to sleep, noise doesn't disturb her, but we tend to just go to our room anyway, once she's in bed. Obviously, it's not ideal, but there are ways. I really recommend doing a sofa bed situation in the living room, so during the day it can be your living room, and at night, your bedroom. Good luck mumma. Chin up, you're doing the best you can ♥️
Us too. We created a floor bed for our 2 yr old and put it beside our bed, works a charm and she’s super cosy. We just had another baby and I co sleep with him in the bedroom while my husband sleeps on the sofa bed most of the time. With baby #2, we will have to move next year but for now it’s not worth the extra expense to do so, esp while I’m on mat leave. Don’t let it get you down, everything in life is temporary and you’re doing your best. xxx
Just here to give you a virtual hug mama 💜
Don’t feel bad darling. You are giving her something far more beautiful and important than her own room: closeness and a feeling of security and connection. Lots of kids who do have their own room end up sleeping in their parents’ bed for some part of the night. That says a lot about what is really important.
