Yes definitely. We try to cuddle if she'll let us. Explain what she could do instead of what she's been told she can't. Discuss it afterwards.
My girl had a meltdown because I wouldn't let her eat her baby brothers biscuit. She shouted at me, I said no again so she fell to the floor and kicked my foot with the ball of hers. Blooming hurt!! So I took her tablet away. She had a screaming tantrum for two hours... I'm surprised the neighbours didn't call social services or the police or something lol!!
Yep! We find our girl tantrums most when teething or really tired. We just ‘ignore’ her kinda, don’t feed into the behaviour. She calms herself down and will come to us for comfort when she’s done. It’s really normal for them at this stage of life they have very big feelings in tiny bodies you have to let them ride it out and if they will let you comfort them then do that. Once our girl has stopped tantruming we talk to her about big feelings and how she can take deep breaths and go to a quiet space or come to mummy and daddy for a cuddle. She doesn’t talk back but clearly understands as we have been finding her taking herself to a corner to calm down the last few times z
