Please HELP! Colicky baby tips?

Hi ladies! This is my second and while he was a great sleeper and pretty simple the first week, things have gone left pretty quickly. He is fed by bottle primarily pumped breast milk, w occasional breastfeeding sessions. We use the Dr browns anti colic bottle. The last 2 weeks his episodes of gas, discomfort, and crying have been sooo hard! After we have burped him, held him up after feeding, he will squirm in bed for 20-30 mins and not sleep, OR, sleep, but wake after on 40 mins. We are so tired! We are pretty sure he has colic:( we don’t want to try the Mylicon drops yet, so those who have dealt with this, do you have any tips? We swaddle baby for sleeps. And are using the slowest flow nipple. He takes about 3-4 oz every 2-3 hours give or take. He’s 3 weeks now and this all started about a week ago.

Hey mamas!! I have a colic baby. I promise it does get better! My girl is 2 months old now. Try mylicon drops or gripe water!!! Mylicon for gas and gripe for reflux. You can put the drops in his bottle or in his mouth before feeds. It helps soooo much. We saw improvements when she a little older than a month. She now sleeps thriugh the night. You may also need to help him toot! Lift his knees to his tummy and sometimes that helps them release gas. And if you can prop him up in the bassinet or crib (whatever you use). If it's a bassinet try to have him at an angle! Hope this helps lovely ❤️ feel free to message me if you have any questions

I have a gassy baby (5 wks) and mylicon + probiotic drops with L. Reuteri have helped. I use the bio gaia brand for probiotic.

We are in the same boat, exact same age and start of it happening. I am almost solely breastfeeding and he gets hungry almost every hour during the night, it is very exhausting. Our doctor said this is very common for the first 8 weeks of life, so hang in there and it will get better. We have found the mylicon drops to help a little, but started the probiotic drops and I think they are helping more than the mylicon. They do take 7 days of consistent use to ‘kick in’ so start them now. Helping him toot is really the only relief where I see immediate results. Bicycle movements with his legs, putting them up in a frog position to help push it out, massage the tummy in gentle downward motions from top of belly to hips, and actually putting him on his tummy has really helped. Under my supervision, I leave him to nap on his tummy and he releases a ton of gas that way. It’s so hard and tiring seeing them in pain, I get it! If you find anything else that really works, please let me know!

Mylicon drops has helped us tremendously

Lots of bicycle kicks! We have a super gassy baby and it’s almost a full time job to keep her toots under control 😂 We were using gas drops, but were told by our pediatrician they really don’t work too well. But some tips she gave us is to always keep milk in the nipple so there’s no extra air and to watch what I eat. I ate Mexican three days in a row and she definitely didn’t let anyone sleep those nights😂😂😂 We also put her in the bath every night just to lay in the warm water to help release some gas before bedtime!

Thank you soooo much for the info everyone ❤️ I reallyyyy appreciate it
