My boy didn’t start full on walking until 13 months. He took his first steps right after his bday. Now at 15 months he’s running from us
My nephew started walking at 16 months. His doctor did refer him to OT for an evaluation. The evaluator said he was perfectly fine.
@Kris he’s crusing. But he seems scared to let go. He sometimes lets go for a few seconds though
Maybe help him practice balancing by putting a folded towel across his belly under his arms and walking him With the towel. Or one of those push walk toys can assist too maybe and help him Build his confidence
my sisters son didn’t walk until he was 1.5 years old. she said because she didn’t let him go on the floor he was always crawling on the bed. she said she was being overprotective. she used to regret it too much when she saw other kids in family walking around 12 months. she said one day he came running towards her. like that’s strange. he didn’t even walk but started running towards her. and slowly he started walking. every kid is different. maybe you can try let him use the walker . or what i did was i used to put the snack on table. you can do it too and let him grab it so he can start taking few steps. don’t worry if he falls, offer support to make him stand and repeat it few times in a day.
Sorry. Wasn’t trying to hit walking independently. I wanted to Comment that baby may develop at own rate. 15 might not be too late. Is your baby cruising, taking steps or anything yet?
