i am currently having issues in my marriage and my husband may tell me to leave (we live with his parents) even tho we have a baby can anyone advise on what i could do in terms of living arrangements as i can’t afford private renting i could live with family for a very short time like few days but i would need to sort out other living arrangements. any advice / help would be greatly appreciated i just want to prepared in case of worst case scenario

Go to your local council they should be able to help with housing

So depending on your area, Alot of councils are advising for just private rental only due to the housing crisis! As you have a roof atm they won't deem you an emergency or anything, Unless you get it in writing that your family are evicting you! Whatever you do , it won't work in your favour if you make yourself intentionally homeless, As you'll have brought that upon yourself They may place you in TEMPORARY which could be a hostel, hotel or a 1bed etc etc - Be prepared for any kind of conditions as they don't care, by law it should only be 6wks however it can be years! I was on a travelodge for 6months i had to flat hunt daily , otherwise I'd still be there! You could also see the possibility of the council paying your first month's rent and deposit 😉 , Although as you know it would have to be somewhere you can afford, So if you have to look futher a field sadly that maybe the case x
