Exclusively pumping

I am 6 weeks pp and want to start exclusively pumping but have no idea what to do to ensure my supply doesn’t drop. How do I start? What schedule should I follow? And do I really have to pump throughout the night?

I am exclusively pumping currently. You will need to pump every 3-4 hours to maintain your supply, at least 8 pumps per day. Basically, any time baby eats, you need to pump so you're mimicking baby's pattern for your body. I'm 5 weeks PP and am pumping whenever baby wakes up at night. When I've looked up online when you can drop an overnight pumping session, it says 12 weeks.

@Kelli thanks, that’s helpful. Can I please know which pump you’re using? I would need to upgrade mins to make this transition.

I'm primarily using this one: https://a.co/d/ijwFUVj but will also use the Zomee z2. I prefer the Trsete pump for being completely handsfree and portable, I'm able to bottle feed expressed milk and pump at the same time. The z2 isn't as easy to do that with. The touchscreen is also very sensitive on the z2 so if it bounces on your belly while worn around your neck, it can pause, change levels or change modes on your which is annoying
