Anyone else still struggling with speech delay? My lb has words now but still struggles with communicating what he wants to us

My little boy is 3, he has speech delay but his words are coming along and is picking up words but unfortunately not communicative ones his mostly hand led. we’re waiting on his first speech therapy appointment we’ve been actively using home made communication sen cards and sen activities to encourage his speaking which has helped us the most so far.

Yep my 3 year old little boy had a speech delay he has a few words but he also does sign language that he has picked up from mr tumble and he is having speech therapy we have worked out he speaks a lot more when he doesn’t have his dummy so we are finally in the process of getting rid of it but he only really has it for nap and bedtime
