Shooting pains
Hi everyone, I’m 35+1 and have been having sharp shooting pains (feels like in my cervix) they only last a couple of seconds but have been consistent all day, I’m not sure whether they’re braxton hicks as I haven’t felt any yet! Has anyone had something similar to this? If so what was it as not sure if I should call MAU.. tia x

@Kathryn it’s kind of in my lower belly it’s so hard to explain 🤦🏻♀️ unsure if it might be baby getting lower as midwife said is head was starting to engage
Lightening crotch x
I had this last night into this morning and it was scaring me, my mom and sister were saying it’s from the baby engaging lower and lower causing the same sharp pains in my hips. I was told if it gets really painful and consistent to call my OB or go in just in case

Probably more like lightning crotch than braxton hicks which you usually feel in the belly I think. But also braxton hicks tend to be random and sporadic rather than consistent. It doesn’t hurt to call triage because it lasting all day seems a bit weird!
