I’m 22 weeks too and currently on amoxicillin for the same sort of thing, I also had to take them for a UTI a few weeks back but the doctor and midwife said it’s perfectly safe in pregnancy, I know what you mean though I did try to avoid taking them as much as I could but you don’t want to make yourself worse! X
Yes I had a course a couple of weeks back for an infection. Completely safe and getting chest infections, etc is nothing we can control, just more susceptible in pregnancy. X
I’m also sick at the moment and suspect it’s a chest infection, I will be seeing the doctor on Monday and I’m hoping I get some antibiotics because I know I will only get worse without them. Being sick, pregnant and trying to run after a toddler is madness! The doctors will only prescribe safe options during your pregnancy so you are good to take them, and hopefully recover quickly! Feel better soon!
Thanks so much for all the lovely comments! Definitely reassuring and made me feel loads better ♥️
I’ve had 3 courses for UTIs and all was absolutely fine ☺️ get well soon
I’ve just finished a 10 day course of antibiotics for a UTI that turned into a kidney infection! The prescriber will always ensure that the antibiotics that are prescribed are the safest ones to use during pregnancy xx
I had a chest infection in my first trimester and had amoxicillin. All safe. Baby is fine , I’m now 24 weeks. Don’t feel bad .
I’m on my last day of antibiotics for a chest infection and my second course this pregnancy. Try not to worry I took them a few times with my daughter as well as I’m prone to water infections when I’m pregnant. You need to look after your body and unfortunately having crazy toddlers we don’t get the rest option ❤️ I do find suffering with HG my nausea picks up slightly when I’m on them but goes back down as soon as the course is finished xx
