Growth scan

Had my 32-week growth scan today they said everything is looking good and measuring right and look good but as soon as she said she is estimated to be around 3lbs 10oz on the ultrasound I know that's an estimate but still nervous about having a really small baby at birth just have to see how much as changed when they book me in for my next growth scan

I think that weight sounds pretty bang on average for 32 weeks to be honest! It’s an estimate and they’ve said everything is looking good, try not to worry ☺️

@Katrina they start saying all these measurements and and different numbers then on about centiles and then my mind kinda fried 🤣 🤣 but I'm happy they said its looking good so far for 32 weeks and they know more then me its just i have had a small baby before and I was so scared to handle her felt like I was holding a doll it

I was 3lb 11oz at 32 weeks and at my 35 week scan they’ve told me they’re going to induce me at 37 weeks because it’s so small (otherwise healthy). Are you having weekly scans?

Avatar

@Katrina no I'm not having weekly scans I didn't even know they was going to be another growth scan after this one today this was my first growth scan I'm just waiting to receive my next growth scan letter appointment to come through can't remember how many weeks she said I will be when I have that one

That’s a great weight for 32 weeks. Bear in mind you have 2 whole months of growth left and the baby will probably double in size! From now until then 👶🏽 x

i think the average for 32 weeks is 3.75 pounds so that sounds like a good healthy weight:)

Mine was 3pounds10 at my 32 week scan and was told that’s completely normal and average xx

@Eve I think i just panicked when she said 3lbs 10 at my 32 week growth scan because I'm getting closer to delivery day then I was like that's not bad as she still has a good few weeks to gain weight I think I will worry if she hasn't put much on when I go for my second growth scan on 22nd March my other 2 girls was only small on delivery I'm only 5 ft 1 myself lol 😆 xx

Ultrasound Scan and BMI

Hi everyone, really upset today. Went for my dating scan and as far as I knew from the sonographer it was difficult to get a good pic of baby today because baby didn't want to get in a good position. Read my notes afterwards and it says difficult scan due to increased BMI. I have a BMI of 39 which I'm aware is high, but I feel so sad about it and now I'm worrying how this is going to be throughout the pregnancy. Any positive info about any of you lovely people having a healthy and safe birth with a high BMI would be really appreciated right now ♥️

My 7 day old baby’s cord has started to detach and the inside looks like this. Is this normal?

Placenta not working properly

I'm 34+2 and baby has gotten smaller since my last growth scan. There is blood flow going between the baby and the placenta but it seems the baby may be struggling slightly. I have a scan tomorrow to see if my c section should be booked in for 36 weeks.

Has anyone had a 36 week baby? X my first was 39+4 x

Is It Just Me?

Is it just me, or are babies these days developing in their own completely unique way and fast!!

My little one is 6 months now, and honestly it feels like every week brings something new.

Sitting up started around 4–5 months, even though tummy time has never been the favourite activity. Rolling is no problem, but the real interest now is in attempting to shuffle around and explore
Standing with support has become a whole new hobby — anything sturdy enough becomes a piece of “furniture gym equipment.”
Weaning began at 4 months, and by 5 months there was already interest in snacks labelled for 7 months and up. And despite all the movement and curiosity, sleeping in their own crib has been completely fine too.

It’s fascinating watching how different babies grow at their own pace — some rush ahead in certain areas, some take their time, and all of it is perfectly normal. They really do come with their own little blueprint.

My LO definitely needs to slow down 🤣😅
