Self feeding

Does anyone have any tips or recommendations on how to start letting a baby feed themselves? My baby is 8 months and has no interest in doing it herself. She just uses the spoon as a drumstick and was never one to put things in her mouth so she just plays with her banana puffs and throws them on the floor🤣

I gave my baby a chicken bone with a little bit of meat on it

I would take a bite (or pretend to) of the thing to show my daughter what to do and then hand it to her. She loves to mimic me so this worked well to help her get the concept.

Allowing my daughter to eat food with her fingers has been the easiest way, now at 15 months over the last month she’s been more interested in using a spoon for self feeding

If she's not trying to feed herself, then she's not hungry.
