Omg I just realised both our babies are going to be the same age, weird!
A C-section is major surgery so it does carry risks. In general, a VBAC is considered “safer” (but not in every single case obviously). So the doctor may be giving their medical recommendation, but not necessarily considering your anxiety. It’s not an easy decision to make, but once you’ve weighed up the risks and benefits of both options your doctor should be supporting you in your decision…it’s your body!
I had a VBAC and for me personally the healing was a million times easier than a Csection. Even with second degree tearing.
I’m so scared right now…I’m literally in tears thinking vaginal birth is gonna be so awful 😢 c section recovery was so easy and everything people post about PP recovery from vaginal is horrifying! I was off pain meds in 3 days and I’m reading how people from vaginal birth were in pain for weeks plus stitches and whatnot…I’m so scared 😰
I had a VBAC but it was what I wanted. The mental hurdle of pushing a baby out was way harder than the C-section for me. If you don’t want a vaginal birth, find another doctor!!
Umm girl who cares what the doctor says?! Your body your choice and they won’t give you much crap for choosing a repeat Csection as the risks are pretty equal (maybe even less?) than vbac! I’m having a repeat Csection in May, if that’s what you’re comfortable with then do that?!
