@Melissa thank you so much!! i just have anxiety about him not getting the nutrients that he needs ! he does drink his milk though so it helps a little with my worries! ill keep offering im hoping he starts to like more things !!
Surprisingly, toddlers tend to need less than we think they do! We always worry about nutrients and vitamins, but at that age, so many of them just exist on goldfish crackers. If it were detrimental it wouldn't be so common. As long as he's eating something, that's a good sign, and milk helps a lot when kids don't tend to eat a lot of variety! It's a good source of a lot of nutrients all in one place. If he takes milk well you can always try smoothies - I give them twice a day using reusable food pouches, most kids will take them because they taste like fruit, and you can sneak a lot of extra nutrition in, like kale, spinach, extra veg, chia, hemp hearts, Greek yogurt, nut butter.
I was really picky younger (I was like 5 though) but I loved trying new things when my mom included me in the cooking process. Hopfully that helps!
Some great advice already up in the comments. It’s normal my lil one did that too he will bounce back just don’t stick to treats still offer healthy foods Switch places if you put him on high chair then don’t just change seating to the floor and put the plate on a mat helps many times it’s normal don’t stress too much they will bounce back and eat well
This is totally normal toddler behaviour! Babies often will eat pretty much anything put in front of them, but he's now starting to figure out his own tastes. You can help him by just continuing to offer a variety of healthy foods so he can figure out what he likes. If he refuses, that's fine, just try again later. It's also ok to give him things like puffs and waffles and crackers once in awhile, as these things are often more palatable for toddlers and young children. As he develops his tastes, he will become more confident in trying new flavours. It helps when toddlers feel like meal time is a safe place where they can choose to try new foods or not.
