Anyone with a challenging toddler ?

I know about terrible 2, but I don't think all toddlers are really challenging...I go to group with my daughter quite often and see same children there, but many of them I never saw crying or shouting , having meltdown like my daughter, she has it all the time...and I am so so drained...plus when her dad is off is ten times worse....I am really loosing control over her... plus I have a newborn....please no judge, but what should I do ? Is hard to ignore her...i can't go outside with them now, because she never follow me or dad, she will rum everywhere...and we have to run after her...I saw younger children who just peacefully follow their parents...why my daughter is like this ?? I just want to cry....I feel so helpless and exhausted...my mental state never was good and with her behaviour I just feel like loosing my brain :((

My little girl is pretty much an angel in public, but behind closed doors at home she has such a temper and has meltdown after meltdown! Her newest thing is wanting to dress and undress herself, she tries so hard but just can’t do it on her own yet and the meltdown she has when I have to help is crazy! You’re definitely not alone x

Bless you. Every child is different, there could possibly be a trigger for this but I believe sometimes it’s down to gaining attention. Maybe because you’ve got a newborn, she may just want that extra attention and is still getting used to having a sibling around? I feel like this at times, my little one can sometimes not listen when others are but then other times she is fine. Have you got reigns for her or have a double buggy or buggy board to keep her near when out? Sorry you feel that way but am sure you are only doing your best :) and that’s all you can do! It’ll get better in time

@Tayla exactly many children shy in the public, but mine does not have it, she screams in the public transport, in the shop , on the street.. I have so bad anxiety to go out with her, I am trying to calm her down but she is really uncontrollable....maybe someone else at my place could manage and tolerate her behaviour, but is a big challenge for me and I feel like literally i am loosing my mind...I am really worried for my mental state :((

@Danielle thank you for your support x yes...people say it will get better and easier with a time , but this time can take years...and I am already suffering a lot...every day like a torture , no break for me.. I so close to breaking point...

I understand where you are coming from, it can be difficult to deal with. I’m sorry to hear that you are struggling. My only advice to you is to even see if you can try and plan most things with your partner around so you have that extra support or even a friend or family member as I am sure if you spoke to them they’d be happy to support when out and about. I really do hope you feel better soon, never nice hearing people struggling x
