Bath time

My baby is 10 weeks old. The way I have always bathed him is as recommended for newborns - washed his hair over the bath whilst he’s wrapped in a towel. Then dried it and then put him in the bath. Do I still need to do this at this age?

I just bath my 9 week old as normal but make sure I wash her hair last so I can whip her out as soon as its done and into a towel

That sounds a strange way to do it I’ve never heard of that or did it with my first baby lol, I do same as above give him a bath and do his head after although he’s not got much hair so I don’t put any shampoo on it just rinse his head with water

I’ve never done this! We just put her in her little tub and wash her as normal. We tend to do her hair last, but at this stage bath time is only five minutes or so anyway so even if she stays in there for a few minutes after we do her hair, or if we do her hair first, she doesn’t get cold. We keep a thermometer in the tub and temp never goes below 36.

We did this too as recommended by the NHS but have slowly started to include his hair as the last part of the process like others have said x

We put our lo in the baby bathtub and cover her with a muslin while we wash other parts, head included. But we also have a thermometer in the bathtub and ensure water never goes below 36 degrees like @Alexandra . My baby loves bath time and she never gets cold like that.
