Progesterone cyclogest pessary

Hello, im pregnant with my 2nd and a few days ago I had my 20 week scan and my cervix was measuring short. I had a procedure last year to remove some abnormal cells following a smear which led to having a small part of my cervix removed so I was told this could affect future pregnancies and that I’m high risk for a pre term birth. Also I’ve been told that because I got to 10cm then a c section last time that this could affect the length of my cervix Because my cervix is short I was offered two options: 1. To insert a cyclogest progesterone pessary every night which should strengthen the cervix and hopefully prevent a pre term birth Or 2. Have a stitch in my cervix I chose the pessary because the thought of a stitch in my cervix makes me want to pass out 😅. I’m just wondering if anyone is in the same boat? Or has taken the pessary before for the same reason. I’m so anxious about having a pre term birth but really hoping this helps. Also when I insert the pessary baby goes mad kicking after. Also, has anyone had the stitch in cervix? Really worried I’m going to end up needing that so any positive experiences with either the pessary or stitch would be great. Thanks ❤️

I had my baby IVF and so was taking the cyclogest for fairly good time during my pregnancy and everything went alright. If I were you I would keep to the cyclogest pessary.

Same as above. I had the cyclogest pessaries for both (currently 18 weeks with second). Bit of a faff but overall it’s not too much of an inconvenience to take them

Brill thank you ❤️
