Travelling abroad

So I want to hear what others think, don’t know if I’m overthinking it. So last weekend went out for a drink with my partner and his mum, whilst we were having drinks we brought up my partner and I going to Maldives for our honeymoon later in the year mind we’ve got a 15months and 2months old, so my partner mum agreed she will be looking after bothe of them while we are away but then she asked a question that got me really scared and thinking if it’s won’t going again, she said if anything happens to both of us while we are over there she wants to take the kids 100% I’m I overthinking it or is it just postpartum blues that’s making me have goosebumps?

It sounds like a sensible conversation to have on the whole but approached in entirely the wrong way!

In my opinion that is weird ngl 😅maybe I am also overthinking it but I would feel uncomfortable. That said, not sure what your situation is and how the dynamics in your family are. If my mil would say that, I would be worried she's plotting something 😂she is lowkey 🤪but jokes aside, you should sit down with your partner and talk to him about it. At the end of the day, it's his mom so he might know/read her better? Hope this helps xx

I think you’re overthinking it and perhaps feel a bit funny about it because nobody really wants to consider that possibility. However, it would be sensible to consider and make it known what you would want to happen to your kids if anything happened to you both. x
