Can you try her in the front passenger seat rear facing? That way you can keep an eye on her and also might help with the sickness, you can take the headrest off the front seat so she has a better view too, or keep it on to minimise visuals. Just make sure airbag is off. Unfortunately doctors and HV aren’t educated on car seat safety they just go by government guidelines, nobody educated would ever recommend forward facing before 4yo as their bodies aren’t developed enough to survive a crash yet xx
https://amzn.eu/d/djT1veW I find these are better than the stick on sunshades as they cover more of the window, you could try a stick on shade under one of these to double up Also what car seat do you have and have you tried any others? Some are significantly more reclined than others and sitting up straighter could help with the sickness, we recently switched from a britax max safe pro to an axkid movekid and my daughter is sat up so much better in the new one
@Lauryne the doctor and HV told me to face her forward to see if it was any better as it can be extreme. Her car seat also says it can be forward faced due to her weight and height (not that that means it’s safe but I’m trying to do it as safely as I can). She can choke badly on her sick sometimes which means it’s safer sometimes for her to forward face as I can see her too. Obviously I don’t want to forward face her as it’s safer to rear face that’s another big reason why I’m trying to find a solution for her.
