Carrier and a pair of noise cancelling headphones worked a treat for an event we had last month. X

Can someone else watch the baby? I would worry more about throwing them off routine rather than them attending

are you still with babies dad? i’d leave baby with dad, i get baby can be clingy but j also find clingy babies that are only clingy to mum, aren’t left enough with their own dad and need to build up that bond. this would be a great opportunity to leave baby with dad and have a little break and enjoy yourself xx

Don’t take the baby leave them at home they won’t need feeding between 7 and 9 that’s only a 2 hour gap, the other parent or grandparent can have them x

@Elena the event would mean I would be away for 4 hours due to travelling there and back

@Sinead baby is very clingy will stay with dad for max 20 mins before needing to be with me

At 8 months I doubt they will be feeding 4 hourly you should be fine.. or introduce a bottle between now and the event and express! You need time for yourself to go and do things x

@Monét this was my worry and no as my partner would be attending aswell

@Elena tbh I don't want to introduce a bottle even of express milk but thank you

@Elena my baby is 7.5 months and 3 hours is his max before he starts screaming for food. Luckily he will take a bottle in a pinch, but not all babies can go 4 hours without food.

Do you have a baby carrier or someplace the baby can sleep while you’re out so they’re not overtired?
