I need help trying to figure this out
So my boyfriend’s mom called welfare on me because of the state of my room. I hadn’t gotten the chance to clean it bc of depression. Now I don’t trust her and I told him that our son is not going to be around someone I don’t trust. My family wants me to break up with him because of his mom. And I don’t know what to do.

Is the state of your room potentially hazardous to your son?
I don’t see a reason for her to call anyone on you. If she was a better in law, she would help you if she cared about her grandkid. This is very toxic.

Honestly you need to be NC, don’t let her around your son either and unless he is on the same page with that and enforces it then yeah you probably do need a good family lawyer. Be clear with him that he is still welcome to have a relationship with his family but anyone who is willing to do something like that is not someone that deserves access to you, your child, or your home (regardless of your presence do not let MIL in your home as she will try to find similar things and use them as an opportunity to report you)
