I think the best advice is to understand your routines will change. And that's okay. I thought I could still keep my routines so when my youngest was born I then got upset that my eldests routines were all out of whack due to feeding etc It will be tough in the beginning until you find you're feet, and then you'll build confidence ... until the baby learns to roll or crawl or walk 🤣 It is so worth it, and you will love it! I'm now the otherside where I have a 2 and a half year old and a 1 year old. They can now play together and help each other ❤️ any questions please don't hesitate to ask :) x
I’m due our second in 5 weeks. My daughter is 20 months old. For the first probably six months of my pregnancy, I was terrified of how we’d cope with two, but as I get closer to delivery, my nerves have calmed and I’m seeing it as ‘what will be will be’. It’s really daunting though, so I really do understand how you’re feeling. I’m also a major control freak (but have come much more relaxed since having a toddler as it’s just chaos 🥲) so like to be as prepared as possible, and I think this helps actually as you know what’s coming for baby no2, and you’ll know how to be as organised/prepared as you can to make things run more smoothly for yourselves, baby and toddler. Do you have support at home? Can you share your thoughts with them? I discussed how I felt with my husband when I was really anxious, and turns out he was feeling the same. We chatted together and managed to calm each other’s nerves hugely!!
I'm due in a couple of weeks and there will be just over a three year age gap between our son and baby girl. My biggest concern is dividing my time between the two of them and not wanting our little boy to feel pushed out. I know when baby arrives it will just come naturally. Everything for me has to be planned out and I live by routine so the first few weeks will definitely be a challenge
I can tell you I am almost 6 months pregnant with baby number 2 (my first is 2 in april), and I have been feeling nervous as well for sure about having 2. I think that it will take some adjusting for us at first but also as moms and someone who loves to plan everything as well I think that we will find our groove and new routine! I think it’s normal for sure to feel this way
