Anyone experience this?
I got off birth control around Halloween time, my period has been way off, last month I actually got a normal period but now I’m two days late, which wouldn’t be weird to me at all, I’ve been feeling like I was gonna get it soon for the last week
I’ve been feeling bloated, having back pain and tender breasts, but in the last week I’ve gained about 7 pounds which is pretty weird for me because I’ve always struggled gaining weight especially since I haven’t been eating as much so I can keep my son fed as I’m not working currently I’ve been baby sitting from my home for extra cash to support him because I don’t have anyone to watch my son while I’m out working
I also am not sexually active, I haven’t had any kind of sex since august as me and my boyfriend are long distance right now, so pregnancy is out of the question but has anyone experienced anything like this, I plan on going to the doctor whenever I have the chance
I’m hoping it’s just the birth control hormones leaving my system but I’d think that would’ve happened by as it’s been like 5 months since I’ve been off of it
Are you nursing? Weight can influence your period as well, especially if you have PCOS or other hormones are out of balance like progesterone. When I gain weight or go over what my “baseline” weight is my periods are always irregular or skip a month entirely. It’s been a struggle postpartum as I went home my pre pregnancy weight and gained every pound back from 4 months until now 9 months pp. my cycles are skipping a month right now. I’m working to lose the weight but I’ve been so up and down my entire life to know the influence of my weight and my cycles. I’m also not an obese person, but I’ve always been at the top of a normal BMI and at times get about 5/10lbs over weight. It might be worth looking into with your OB, they can run certain labs at certain points in your cycle and preform transvaginal ultrasounds to see if there is any anomalies in your uterus and/or ovaries like fibroids/cyst.
