my baby was chronically constipated and i found things like bicycle legs etc helped x
If you're not ready to give medication just yet, movement like bicycle legs helps as well as stimulating the area around the anus which you can do with some Vaseline on your finger or a q-tip
It's ok for babies to poop 5 times in a day or once in 5 days, u can also apply asafoetida water on baby's tummy, mix some asafoetida in water and apply that water
My little boy was the same… the dr explained it well to me by saying newborns are learning every day and some take time to relax… shall we say… bum muscles… haha for the poop to come out. And he’s on cow and gate too. We never used medicine just bicycle legs and rubbing around his belly button in a clockwork position and over time it helped :)
This can be normal for newborns. Our daughter used to poo every 3-5 days when she was that young, she was also formula fed. It eventually evened out and she was pooing more.
I saw a video that says newborns aren’t necessarily constipated but don’t know where to push there energy too. So if you get a tissue and roll the end, tickle there bottom then it helps them focus their pushing
Definitely bicycle legs and some baby massage and yoga
This advise worked for us If your baby is under 2 months of age, try 1 teaspoon of brown sugar in one ounce of water twice a day
Also biking and tummy massage
I’ve had this a couple times with my 4 week old son which we have him on Cow & Gate! We use a mix of Infacol given on the back of the tongue before every bottle and Dentinox drops given in his bottles, it helps clear out the constipation and relieve trapped wind! The community midwife I saw told me about the Infacol!
