I’m not sure what to advise you on this, my little boy did 12 hours over night just before 3 months old and he’s now two and half and we are still the same. I remember towards the end of him waking in the night he would fuss but would never really have much milk or need a change so I started giving him a dummy and if they didn’t settle him then I would get him out of bed for milk. I know I never did any sleep training but I kept a nightly routine, he had a bath before bed every night even if it was just in warm water and not using soap and kept the same routine for naps in the day, I can’t remember the routine but I can remember I saw it somewhere tried him with it and he just took to it straight away. Hope she starts sleeping alittle longer for you soon xx
Are you putting baby down for the nap or have you tried contact naps?
It really dose depend on how she’s fed , she should be sleeping around 2-4 hrs a time increasing at night as she gets older but I found with my babies (7) that if they woke up less than 2hrs after being put down they weren’t getting enough milk this didn’t mean I wasn’t feeling them enough most mums feed over the guidelines anyway just some babies need more but there tummies are small at 10 weeks she’s likely to be drinking around 5-6 0z a feed some babies even 7 if that milk is not satisfying them they my need a thicker milk designed for hungrier babies most brands do one & if breast fed maybe introduce one or two formula feeds all mine were breast fed but I had one or two that need a formula feed even tho I had plenty of milk it was thin and was putting the weight on her but not keep her tummy full Also i exclusively breasbreastfeeding untill 6mth however I had one or to who were so greedy they had baby rice & ellas kitchen purées at 4mths with out fuss
@Natalie tried both! She used to contact nap more but she has reflux, suspected cmpa and is already teething which is mental and has terrible gas 😭
@Laila she’s bottle fed formula we can try and increase it but she sicks up! Thanks for the tips and advice! She’s dealing with reflux suspected cmpa, gas and is teething already plus she’s overtired!
@Daisy thank you! We’ve tried absolutely everything and we’re seeing a pediatrician next week… she’s got reflux, suspected cmpa, is teething already, got bad gas and is clearly overtired! She sometimes sleeps with head strokes and a dummy but wakes up after 2 minutes…
@Amy I feel for you lovely, hopefully you get some answers soon so you can look into how to help her sleep alittle longer for you. Your a super mum still waking every hour at 10 weeks 🤍 not sure how your doing it xx
@Amy aww bless her. Have you tried a baby carrier to keep her upright for naps?
@Daisy it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done! Thank you, she barely sleeps for 5 mins at a time sometimes! Really appreciate it xx
@Natalie yes! She naps sometimes in the carrier but not much luck otherwise or for us to go to bed 😂
@Amy id try utilise it to get some good daytime sleep in and hopefully that would help improve overnight.
@Natalie thank you! I’ll try it more x
I think I had some consistent pattern around the 3 to 4 month mark. At that point I think I was seeing 1 to 2 feeds in the night max, and sleep in the day was around 30 to 60 minutes every 1.5 hours. For my girl the longer sleep didn't hit til after 1 where she went to two naps a day for about an hour each but then the wake periods were around 3 hours. And then when she dropped to 1 nap that's where I saw 2 to 3 hour naps. X
