Another nap transition post

Been in the 2 to 1 nap transition for the last 84 years now (may or may not be exaggerating) Last few weeks the morning nap has been a short cat nap leading to total refusal of an afternoon nap which all equals a grumpy baby for the rest of the day My problem is that this baby will nap for 30-40 mins max at home. It's the same at her grandmas where she spends 2 days a week. I always offer a contact nap to try and get more out of her but she can't get comfy so this doesn't work either. Nursery is a different story entirely and she will do 1hr 45 approx after lunch (I know this is pretty common tho. So yesterday she had a 40 min catnap with her dad around 10am then refused all sleep in the afternoon and was grumpy all day Today we stretched out to 11.50am when she was super tired, rocked her to cot nap. Up half an hour later like clockwork but still exhausted and screaming. Spent another 50 mins trying to get her back to sleep because she was horrendous. Dunno what I'm asking here but help! 🤣 How the hell is 1 nap supposed to work when your baby refuses to do more than half an hour??

Hi love absolutely have no advice but totally in the same boat! Hope it passes for us soon !

Is there something different they do at nursery for example dim lights or sleepy music? Worth asking them?

Mine is a capnapper both at crèche and home. Only time I get more than 30 minutes is when we are in the car or on a walk.

My Lo is the same at the childminder, will be awake all morning until 12.30 then sleeps for like 2hrs but I struggle to keep him awake that long so I’ve had to just start taking him places, ideally around other kids to keep him awake and distracted longer so then we also get a longer afternoon nap. It has mostly been working. If it helps our nap transition from 3 to 2 went on for months I never thought that would end 😂
