Larger baby nappy suggestions

My boy is almost 5 months, weighs around 9kg and has been in Pampers since birth. He is in the 98th percentile. He currently wears size 4 and has only been in these for about 3 weeks before he has started leaking up the back! I have always sized up when this happens as it solves the issue. Does anyone recommend another brand for a larger baby? As his weight is within the size range which doesn’t make sense, maybe it’s his body shape but it is so annoying wasting so many nappies sizing up every month 😭

We use Tescos Rascal nappies as my little one was also leaking out a lot of others we tried! Would defo recommend and also a fraction of the cost xx

I use Asda nappies never leaked and good price. Don't go off the weight guide it's almost never right just go off how they look on ur baby, of they look tight or to small or start leaking just go up a size the size guide is only a guide not a rule. Some babies can weigh 9kg but just be really long and thinner so much smaller nappies r sutible for those babies x

I agree with the post below. Pampers size 3 is my girls recommended size based on the packet and her size but to me it looks a bit too tight around her tummy. Size up and see how it fits based on what how it looks.

I think if your baby is sizing up in nappies so fast, you could look at reusable cloth nappies? They will grow with his size x

Have you tried nappy pants? I love Pampers nappy pants! My girl currently wears them in a size 4 and she is roughly about 20lbs in weight

@Willow I can completely back this I use them for my boy and they are great. Little angels I believe they are called.

We had one pack of pampers and had daily leaks. Our normal brand is the Aldi ones and they’re fantastic!

I always give away any nappies that weren't used.. A couple in my building just had a baby and I gave them some newborn ones my girl had grown out of. Before that, I gave away TON of nappies my son had a reaction to(pampers) in a local Mom's group on Facebook. No sense in wasting them!

My baby is 91st percentile, we have tried everything, the best we tried is Amazon brand mama bear ultra dry He does BIG poos and we’ve never had a blow out, all others we have Highly recommend x

If I were you I’d change to cloth Losfm. Normal OSFM should last until they’re toilet trained but in the cloth world they have Large OSFM which fits from 3-5yrs. And being adjustable you can use them on it’s smallest setting and let out a front snap when it starts getting tight, that’s how we “size up”. No blowouts in cloth because they have real elastics

Thank you all x

Rascals! Theyre made bigger than the average diaper and they are very absorbant
