Anaemia or is this just life as a parent? 😂

Now that my daughter is 15mo and sleeping through the night more regularly, I thought I’d feel refreshed and energised. But instead I’m finding myself incredibly fatigued despite getting more sleep. I try my best to eat healthy, limit caffeine and get outside every day so I don’t feel like I should be this tired. Does anyone else feel like this? Has anyone been assessed by their GP and diagnosed with anaemia or some other deficiency? Or is this just how it feels to have been a mum for 15m? 😂

I’m the same! When the kids have both slept through the night before I tell myself I can’t justify being so exhausted 🤣 … maybe it’s all those months just catching up, or the day to day parenting taking it out on us 🤷🏻‍♀️

Since having my LG, my iron levels have been awful due to blood loss although I had a transfusion. I got a blood test done for anaemia but my symptoms were: Dizziness Pale skin Lack of energy Heart palpitations Headaches Worse when on my period too! I would say it could be from having a 15 month old 😂 try taking vitamin D supplements and eating food high in iron xx

Im the exact same as you! I had blood tests this week and will hear soon! ☠️

Anaemic most my life. Mum exhaustion hits differently. Before being a mum, I would be able to wind down for the evening and nap if needed during the day. Now I'm running on fumes with a toddler that does not sleep through the night. As above with the symptoms when anemia is bad, racing heart, cold hands or feet, tired, drained, aches and pains, dull hair, dry skin. You can take daily iron sachets (liquid) to add some more iron into diet, see if it makes a difference.

I've been like it since my first 11 years ago and then now she's 15 months it's so bad but whenever I've had tests I'm borderline which doesn't help 🤣 b12 helps xx

I went to the GP Two weeks ago for this. Literally was having 11 hour sleep and still feeling trash. Turns out I have vitamin d deficiency really bad. Do you take any vitamin d supplements ? I also take iron and folate permanently now since being pregnant
