C section

Is it safe to have baby at 37 weeks? I’m starting to get a little worried as the date approaches.

I had my baby at 37+1 and was all ok! Are you booked in for one ? X

@Hannah getting my date this week x

Ahhh exciting! Good luck! 🤞 I think it’s all personal opinion as I had been in for reduced movements, my baby was small and she was breech so the consultant I saw booked me in. But then when I had a scan closer to the time another one asked me why they had done it so early so that panicked me! But she said it was still ok she just wondered. They said it could move but then when I went for my pre op they said once booked in it’s unlikely they change it, however on the day I had her, 4 sections were booked in and only 2 went ahead x

Yeah it’s fine, 37 weeks is classed as full term x

@Hannah thank you! I have a high risk pregnancy due to previous health issues so im going to have a section regardless, im not allowed to go into labour or have a natural birth, so i cant actually go past 38+ weeks. My first was born at 38+4 and for me that was very dangerous and ended up being an emergency section. I’ve also been having reduced movements this time round and so they want to do it earlier x
