I can’t really say personally but I know my friend has had 3 children now and her first 2 they co slept like you for similar reasons until I think she said approx 2/3 year old until they understand that now it’s time to ‘be a big girl in your own bed’ she plans on doing it again with her 3rd… but I believe her husband works nights so it just works I suppose 😅
@Sharna yeah if it was just me and the baby I'd carry on, but I am also going to be going back to work in October when she's one, and I work 12 hour days. I need daddy to be able to put her to bed without me!
That makes more sense
Start by replacing one night feed with a bottle. Do nappy change beforehand and feed her in a chair, wind with dummy in (they still get burps out (and you will need to wind after bottle feeding)). Keep her upright for ten mins on you, but so you’ve almost fed/burped her to sleep, then do the transfer with dummy in. My daughter only took to the mam newborn dummies 0-6 months, if this helps. Also I feed between 4-5oz a feed if this helps and I feed every three hourly in the day (less overnight). I find she doesn’t cry for a feed this way
Following for advice, my baby is exactly the same but only 7 weeks so would be good to know for The future
