You the most fertile after birth
We were like right in the action and were so nervous about possibly getting pregnant we stopped until I went back on birth control LOL they do make a birth control (according to my obgyn) that’s breastfeeding safe
i’ve been doing cycle tracking/pull out since 7 weeks PP.. it’s been over 2 years now and no pregnancy scares or anything. some people think it’s stupid but it works for us! (the idea of being more fertile after birth is a wives tale)
Tbh you CAN get pregnant but I EBF and didn’t get pregnant until I got a real period. So you might be okay it truly just depends on your body
If you’re worried you’re going to get pregnant, use birth control!
@Samantha agree with you. It is statistically in the high 90% likelihood that you won’t get pregnant… I EBF and didn’t get my period back until 9 months- you can ovulate sooner. What we did just to be safe was I did ovulation test strips before I got my cycle back just before intercourse as an added safety measure
Are you breastfeeding? My midwife said that you can’t get pregnant in the first 6 months if you are exclusively breastfeeding/pumping at least every 4h and did not get your period yet. I had no idea this was a thing
@Marija this is not true, breastfeeding is not contraception. I know tons of people who ebf and still got pregnant
