We rock him a bit until he starts drifting, then we place him in his crib and he'll fall asleep.
@Cecilia every night ? lol
Yes! We take the baby and the dog for a night walk. It is our family routine now 🤗
I still rock my daughter to sleep but I want to try and break away from it now.
@Adrianna he doesn’t cry ?
Yes every night
My baby is going to be 13 months in 3 days and we still rock to sleep. She still wakes up middle of the night and we rock her again. The middle of the night part is rough so we’re hoping she starts sleeping through the night soon.
@Ashley same here . That’s why I’m asking to see what other moms have found helpful
@Sienna same here . Looking forward to sleeping like a normal person again. Lol
@Cecilia love it ! 😍 I wish we could do that too. We are in Massachusetts so we’ve got lots of snow and ice. Not ideal for walking right now.
@Irina good luck!! We also give him a big bottle of warm milk before and that seems to be soothing for him and then we go…sleeps through the night!! We also go with cold weather…we put heated jackets on and warm blankets on the baby!
@Irina he did at first, but he didn't cry for long and he fell asleep. Now it's just routine.
still nursing to sleep at 13m and don’t see an end coming to that any time soon 😅

@Samantha we were too until she literally out of the blue went on a serious nursing strike =( I nursed my first til 2 and was definitely not ready!
My son will be 13 months in a week and I am struggling with my thoughts of "did I do this right?!" I have always rocked my son to sleep, every night, since birth. Some night he goes down in minutes and other nights it can take 1.5 hour but on average I would say it take like 30 mins. What I'm struggling with is he has been waking at night more frequently and it is brutal. He will scream bloody mirder if I don't go comfort him. He then will usually fall asleep on me and then I have to tap his butt for another 10 mins or so after the transfer or else he won't continue sleeping. Once in a great while he doesn't require the butt taps but he usually does. Last night he was up for 3.5 hours and I'm just sooo defeated. He does NOT want his dad to comfort him at night, only me. I literally feel like I somehow messed this all up. So long story short, no tips. I'm struggling!
Mine still gets a bottle at bed time he falls asleep drinking it and I put him in his crib and he’s out for the night. My dad accidentally bought me a ton of toddler formula months ago thinking it was regular infant formula. He drinks toddler formula before bed.
@Abby same here. Only thing is I’ve given up trying to put her to sleep before the “floor is lava” stage. lt is sooooo tough
We take him on a walk! He falls asleep on the stroller and then we carry him to his bed -
