Sex postpartum
Hey girls, when did everyone have sex after giving birth ? I’m currently 2weeks pp and all I want to do is be intimate with my partner (maybe it’s because my sex drive while pregnant had completely gone and we only had sex a handful of times while I was pregnant ) but the last week it’s all we’ve talked about 🤣 I had what most people would say is their perfect birth completely natural no complications and only had a graze on my back wall , occasionally it is abit sore still down there so I’m scared to have sex at the minute anyway and I’m still bleeding a little but just trying to see when everyone else found it okay to have sex after giving birth especially because everyone says wait at least 6 weeks but I don’t know if I will physically be able to wait until then 🤣😳 also what contraception did everyone go on after giving birth ?

Tbh girl im 4 weeks pp and started doing the deed at 3 weeks and have been okay, just go slow and gentle till your ready to do what yous do.. use condoms also x
Truly best to wait 6 weeks as your still healing and very fresh. Plus possible you can get pregnant again after birth, as you’re very much fertile. If you want to go on contraception, best to do now. 🙂 xo

The 6 week period we r told to wait isn't to give any external wounds to heal like tears and grazes, it's because when our placenta comes out it leaves a giant open wound the size of a dinner plate inside ur uterus which can easily get infected if anything enters ur vaginal canal. It takes 6 weeks for it to heal regardless of whether or not ur bleeding has stopped this doesn't indicate that it's fully healed. However, u can do plenty of other stuff like hands and mouth just as long as no fingers, vibrators or penis' go inside your vagina for 6 weeks x
