Is it over?

Hi everyone. My breastfeeding journey was going well until the 3 month mark. My baby started getting angry at the fact that the milk doesn’t start coming in right away. I did some research and found out this was normal because my supply has regulated. I was patient with the whole thing and didn’t give up despite him screaming every time it’s time to feed. 1 week later I get hit with unbearable throat pain, I couldn’t eat for 4 days, barely getting any water and of course my supply significantly decreased and so my baby is even angrier and now prefers a bottle. Is this it for breastfeeding? 🥲 any tips to get my supply back quick? I know a lot of people will say pumping but my baby is a frequent feeder, and many times when I pump, it would be soon time for him to feed and my breast would be empty because I had recently pumped.

Oatmeal! When my LO was born my milk was taking a bit too & my mom would have me drink 3 cups of oatmeal everyday & my supply increased soooo much. It def gets boring after a couple days but it’s so worth it 🩷

I’ve been sick a few times this breastfeeding journey. Each time my supply dips to about half the normal output. It takes about a week but it will come back like nothing ever happened. You have to make sure you still remove milk on the normal schedule or else your supply will be severely affected. But no, your journey is not over, your supply will come back in about a week. Anytime baby gets a bottle, you need to pump. Possibly nurse before giving a bottle and then pump while baby is taking a bottle. To keep milk moving efficiently.

A lot of water, protein, dates, milk, and oats. My baby went to breastfeed strike at 4 month mark and started feeding again at 6 month mark.

Plenty of water, protein, fatty foods, get some breastfeed tea.. I use one from hottea mama which I love. 🥰 skin to skin and lots of cuddles with little one. You can get your supply back just stay positive xxx

Please read this, it’s normal for babies this age to be fussy. Not me necessarily a sign your supply is not enough https://www.instagram.com/p/C9mmq1hNhk_/?igsh=bGxmbjVpeHFhMHZ6

@Priscilla I should try that. I’ve never had it. Could you share you recipe? ❤️
