Febrile seizure

Has anyone’s baby had one? If they’ve had one - are they often prone for more? Thank you.

Its pretty common with high temperature! So my daughter had it a few times in a year, she had one really bad on set seizure that put her on Epilepsy medication for under a year and i decided to take her off. I am only messaging because i still have trauma from what i felt and witnessed but it does get easier and you feel stronger and more confident as a parent. (My daughter’s now 2.5 and it started at 9 month and last until she was 19 months.

@Mayah thank you. I totally agree - what I see was haunting 🥺

I had them as a baby. I had my first one at about 6 months old and had about 4 overall and they stopped when I was 3 and a half years old. My Mum said it was one of the scariest things to witness as a parent especially the first one 😣 They are hereditary so I’ve been expecting my girls to have them. Nothing yet but I’m so cautious 🥺

@Sasha thank you. I’m not sure if it was one or close to it ??
