My baby doesn't like them either. I just figured some babies just don't.

We couldn’t get our little boy to take one until he was on bottles x

Persevere 😊 we had to hold it pressed up against their palate, not just in their mouth if that makes sense

Thank you everyone!! She is ebf but thinking of expressing/formula feeding so maybe she’ll have one when on bottles!x

Does she take it into her mouth then spit it out? Or just not take it at all? If not at all then make sure it's positioned just above her tongue and aim for the roof of her mouth. Mine does take them but sometimes if he's kicking off he's blocked his mouth with his tongue so I have to gently push past that and then he sucks once he realises what it is!

this is probably your problem. My ebf girl would never take a dummy or a bottle no matter what we tried. My ebf boy was born first and i introduced dummy and expressed right away and he was fine. So now with my third I’ve learned my lesson to get them used to it early xx

My boys the same he won’t take any brand we’ve tried. He’s mostly breastfed but he does have 2-3 bottles a day but think he realises there is no milk in the dummy he spits it out. I don’t want him to be reliant on one but when he’s super upset and stressed I think it would help soothe him but he’s having none of it

I breast feed until I can feel she’s fallen asleep and just using the boob for comfort. Then I make the switch to keep her asleep. I suck on the dummy first to get it slippery and slide it right in

Put the dummy in their mouth and tap on the middle of the dummy gently until they start sucking xx

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

New born

Finally had my baby girl via C-section on the 18th, everything has been so far. But I’ve noticed she’s very fussy and cries a lot. I’ve been trying to exclusively breastfeed. The lactation consultant at the hospital said I did look like I’m making enough milk for her. She was latching on good at the hospital and now here at home, she doesn’t seem to want to latch at all. She’s been crying a lot and very fussy. I’m just wondering is she’s colic or like maybe she just doesn’t want the breast anymore?

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣
