The trials of Gabriel Fernandez (Netflix)

First of all this was such a hard watch and I can not stop thinking about that poor poor little boy. My question is: Do you agree with the social workers having their cases dropped? A: No, they should have been held accountable B: Yes, it wasn’t their fault C: Not seen it

I cried so much watching it I never watched any documentary like it since

@Redss me too. And there were so many people who could’ve saved him!

I watched it a while ago and it absolutely broke me! That poor boy 😭 signs should have been spotted and he should have been taken from his abusers. But no the unthinkable happened, he deserved so much better.

@Sam I mean the fact he was telling the teacher what was happening and she was telling social services and STILL nothing was done! It just infuriates me that he could have so easily been helped 😢

It’s been a while since I watched so I don’t remember the details for each social works role but in general the system was flawed. Since the trails the work load for social workers in that district has dropped to half of what it use to be which is telling of really how overworked they were. Dangerous mistakes happen when a person is working beyond capacity.
