Have you tried the shower if that's an option for you?
Try showers ? I don’t think a flannel wash is long term Solution as won’t hero a toddler clean enough x
As above, maybe try a shower if you have one. Or have you tried getting in with them? Maybe new toys, or fun lights, bath crayons, bath bombs (if they have okay skin), or the foam bubble bath stuff? Maybe take them shopping and let them pick a new ‘special’ bath toy? Hopefully just a phase and they’ll grow out of it!
We had exactly the same problem. Try washing his toys and asking him to help. We started with a bowl of water and then washed the toys in the bath. Then got him to dangle just his feet in whilst playing…. Total distraction was key in the end he would get in because he was so focused on the game and not the bath. Good luck xx
@Danielle thanks for this . It’s absolutely crazy I would understand if he had a fall or slip etc but just randomly went mad. How long did this fun phase last for you?? X
Would you get in with her? I always get in with my son because it makes it easier to wash his hair. Just a suggestion x
@Jen yep the whole house has tried! I feel I’ve tried everything it’s just bizarre. Tried a shower last night he wouldn’t actually get in it. So had to wash him whilst he played with his toys on the edge. I don’t get it. Might try take him swimming see if it’s water in general x
@Helen good old sink bath? If that’s an option? It’s so hard to understand them at the minute isn’t it because they’re forming their own little personalities x
Yes this has been happening with my boy recently
We offer a different toy every day (we just rotate a few) to take to the bath which always works fortunately. Otherwise she refuses to take bath and gets very upset, she just wants to keep playing downstairs. When we offer a toy, she happily goes upstairs by herself.
