Contraceptive implant

Hi I am considering the contraceptive implant and have a few questions which I’m struggling to find answers online or through doctor (I have asked and they said no evidence) So, currently 5 month pp and exclusively breastfeeding, period has not yet returned. Wondering if anyone can offer insight on the following: Was your milk supply effected? Was your mood effected? Did you start having points in the month where you felt nursing aversion? I remember I use to be uncomfortable nursing my previous children just before and during my period- so hoping not to bring my period on sooner than it naturally would. Did your period return soon after implant fitted? Or not return at all or return at a later date inline with when it had returned following previous pregnancies. This is my third child and I have not used a contraceptive since before my first child. First baby period returned at 9 months and second baby period returned at 8 months, both following an evening away from the baby. I had to join a waitlist for implant and had sort of hoped I would be offered an appointment at around 8/9 months pp once my baby was a little older etc. I should add, I’m intending to breast feed my baby until around 2 so I’m hoping not to effect my supply too much.. Thinking about postponing appointment but would be grateful to hear others have experiences on this! Thanks x

Can't comment on the nursing side of it but I found it pretty muchstopped my periods the whole 6 years I had them apart from like 2-3 days of light bleeding, it took at least a month for the first period to appear. My moods were actually better on it😂 I've never heard of it affecting milk supply but I could be wrong x

Can't comment on the nursing part as my baby is formula fed but I've been on the implant since November and I've been basically bleeding ever since 😅 it does say it takes up to 6 months for your body to get used to it and that's not even a body that is going through post partum. Everyone is so so different. I had my first implant years ago and was okay with it from the start, so I will say it was great that first time around didn't change my moods or anything and I had a period every 3 months for 7 days which wasn't so bad. Don't think I can comment on my implant currently as it's still doing its thing to settle so hopefully in a few months I can say it's all good and the same as my one before 😅

I ebf and have the implant. I got it around 4months pp. Not changed feeding at all. I spot for a couple of days not a full period.

I still BF at 14 months old, got the implat at 4 months old. Never noticed anything with aversion or milk supply. Had like a period shortly after I had the implant, then nothing for months. I sometimes have a bit of spotting I asked lots of questions of the nurse and others on here and I've never read anything about affecting BF, not to say it's not possible, just never seen anything
