Weaning bottle

I feel like I'm just failing / struggling with so much right now. Looking for tips and tricks with weaning off bottle: My son will be 13 months next week. He is still drinking bottles regularly but I want to start coming up with a game plan to start weaning (at least during the day). Any helpful advice appreciated. ❤️

I'm in the same boat! We have cut down the number of bottles and drinks mostly water during the day but he still likes his milk in a bottle. We try in a cup but he won't drink much. We will keep trying and hopefully in the next few months we can drop the bottles or atleast only at night

I just transitioned my son from bottles to sippy cups for his milk. I bought the Nuk brand sippy cups and he took to them really easily. As for weaning him down on the number of bottles he has a day I started by taking away the bottles in the middle of the day and offering snacks in its place. So he gets milk in the morning and before bed and then one around lunch.

I did cold turkey last week after 2 days he was fine I gave him a new sippy cup and kept his bedtime routine the same

We're working on slowly dropping bottles but it's so hard! My son just kept asking for milky yesterday morning and crying. Offered snack, milk in a cup, water, just kept crying. We ended up giving cuddles and telling him how he was being a big boy until he just cried it out. He actually does very well with his milk in his cup but when he wants his bottle he wants his bottle. We haven't dropped his bedtime or nap time bottle yet (he still feeds to sleep) or his middle of the night bottle and we're really dreading those!

I’m so frustrated trying to do milk in a straw cup. It gets everywhere and he only drinks like 2 oz max. I’m currently doing his mid-day milk (he does 3, 6 oz bottles a day) but usually end up giving him what he doesn’t drink in the bottle later. I’m just going to keep trying until he gets better at it? The thing I’m struggling with is that he wants to sip, not drink the whole thing at once.
