Back at work

Hi girls. Assuming most of us working mummas have returned to work now (and if not; will shortly), just a little check in - how is it going? How’s your new routine going, drop offs and pick ups for little one, nursery or alternative care arrangements etc? Do you like the new routine? I returned part time a few weeks back & am pleasantly surprised, I think the anticipation of trying to avoid the inevitable (return to work) is much worse than getting into the swing of things. Admittedly I did drop from full time hours!

I've gone back full time so do miss the kids when I'm at work as if they arnt up before i leave 7 am I don't see them till the next day as I work 12 hour shifts. But I think I appreciate my days off more with them now try to do more. Just wish my husbands days off with the kids while I'm at work he would do more the house was a tip and my washing basket full to bursting after two days at home with just him and the kids. My days off I do washing and all the cleaning and tidying. X

I have worked a part time job, i do 2 hours 6-8pm everday monday to friday and i get £480, my boyfriends a scaffolder so luckily he earns most of the money, i also get benefits aswell. I didn't want to miss out on anything to do with my boy so i'm with him all day, then his dad has him for the 2 hours in the evening so i can work. Nursery is too much for us, and i dont wan't to go back full time just yet. I will probably go back when he goes to preschool xx

I’m back to work full time 3 nights a week and it works better for our family as I was struggling being out the house for 12 hours a day and only seeing my daughter 30min-1hr a day
