I’m feeling like a shitty-ish mom…

I need someone to tell me I’m not a bad mom and here’s why…. I’m a stay at home mom due to medical issues and can’t really work because of it. My oldest is in school which helps but my youngest is an October baby and has been with me all the time I got her a babysitter to watch her 4 days a week but I feel bad about it because I can watch her it’s just that it’s mentally taxing to watch her 24/7….ugh

You are important. You have a right to be your best, so you can do best for your children. If I was able to afford someone to take care of my kids for me a few days a week so I could get right, GIRL, I'D BE RUNNING THERE. You're not a bad mom. You came here worrying about being a bad mom, right? That's a good indicator that you're not ❤️

You’re such a good mom! Getting a sitter so you’re able to stay emotionally available and sane for your child? That’s a good solution to prevent from getting overwhelmed. Not only are you a good mom, you’re a smart, resourceful, caring, and loving mom.

Thank you so much 😭 y’all don’t understand how much that helps me feel better

The fact that you are taking care of your mental health while also making sure your child is properly cared for shows you are rocking it girl!!!!

You are a great mom. You are doing what works for YOU and YOUR family. No one else's opinion should matter. Kids need happy and healthy parents, and you are doing what is best for your mental health, which, in turn, is doing what's best for your family, too. You are using your resources, and that's amazing!

Don't feel bad. It's not easy being a stay at mom while trying to take care of yourself, and managing a household. What I learned to do in moments where I feel guilty for wanting my space, I pray and ask for strength and guidance through the emotions that I'm experiencing in that current moment. Give yourself grace and know you can not care well for others if you're not taking care of yourself in the process. I hope this helped.
